Refund, Cancellation & Returns Policy
This Policy applies to online educational services offered through the Milora Edu platform and supplied by MILORA, Business Registration No.260806003
1. Purpose and Scope
This Policy applies to online educational services offered through the Milora Edu platform and supplied by MILORA, Business Registration No.260806003
MILORA administers student payments, refund requests and payment disputes relating to Milora Edu services
It applies to students, parents, guardians and payment holders who purchase through www.miloraedu.com or another authorized MILORA payment channel.
2. Digital Services — No Physical Returns
Milora Edu platform primarily supplies digital educational services, including live online classes, recorded lessons, LMS access and downloadable learning materials.
Therefore, physical-product returns, return shipping and exchanges do not apply unless a physical product is expressly sold under separate terms.
For payment gateway service provider and website-display purposes, this page serves as MILORA’s Return Policy and Refund Policy.
3. Check Before Paying
Before payment, the student or payment holder must check:
- The registered student name and contact details;
- The correct curriculum, subject, level, tutor, course and session;
- The relevant month, class date or access period;
- The price, currency and payment method; and
- The device, internet and timetable requirements.
A successful payment confirms an intention to enroll in the selected service, subject to these policies.
4. Cases Eligible for a Full Refund
A full refund will normally be approved after verification in the following cases:
4.1 Duplicate Payment
The same payment holder was charged more than once for the same student and the same service.
4.2 Incorrect Amount Charged
The amount charged was higher than the price displayed or expressly agreed at the time of payment, excluding a difference clearly caused by the payment holder’s bank, currency conversion or third-party fee.
4.3 Paid Access Not Provided Because of Our Error
Payment was successfully confirmed, but Milora Edu platform did not provide the purchased access because of a platform or administrative error.
4.4 Permanent Cancellation by MILORA
MILORA permanently cancelled an entire paid course, programme or session and did not provide a suitable rescheduled class, replacement tutor, recording, extended access, transfer, account credit or another reasonable alternative accepted by the student or payment holder.
5. Normally Non-Refundable Cases
A refund will normally not be provided where:
- A live class was attended or joined;
- A recording, paid page, assessment or learning resource was viewed, opened or downloaded;
- The paid class, month, session, course or access period has started;
- The student missed a class or failed to use access for a personal reason;
- The student changed their mind after service delivery began;
- The wrong course or session was selected and its content was then accessed;
- The student lacked a suitable device, internet connection, data, electricity or compatible software;
- A problem was caused by the student’s device, local network or third-party account;
- The student did not achieve the desired examination, admission or other academic result;
- The account was suspended or terminated for account sharing, content distribution, fraud, abuse, non-payment, serious misconduct or another material breach of the Terms;
- False, incomplete or misleading registration or payment information was supplied; or
- The offer was clearly identified before payment as non-refundable, subject to mandatory legal rights.
6. Wrong Course or Session
If the wrong course, class or session was purchased, contact Milora Edu platform immediately.
If no relevant content or service has been accessed or delivered, we may transfer the payment to another available service.
If the replacement costs more, the difference must be paid. If it costs less, the balance may be refunded, provided as account credit, or applied to a future service, as agreed.
A transfer will normally not be allowed after the original service has been accessed.
7. Rescheduled or Missed Classes
If Milora Edu platform postpones or reasonably reschedules an individual class, we may offer a replacement date, alternate tutor, recorded lesson, extended access, account credit or another suitable educational arrangement.
A refund will not normally be issued solely because a class time or tutor changed where a reasonable alternative is provided.
If a student misses a class for a personal reason, no automatic refund or replacement applies. Any rescheduling or additional support offered is discretionary and depends on the relevant course, tutor and availability.
8. Technical Problems
Website or LMS problems should be reported promptly by email, telephone or WhatsApp.
We will first attempt to correct the account, restore access, provide technical support, extend access or provide another suitable delivery method.
A refund may be considered where the problem was caused by Milora Edu, materially prevented delivery, continued for a substantial period after notification, and could not reasonably be resolved.
9. How to Request a Refund
Send the request to accounts@miloraedu.com with the subject “Refund Request” or contact us by telephone or WhatsApp.
The request should include:
- Student’s full name;
- Registered email address and telephone number;
- Parent, guardian or payment-holder name, if applicable;
- Course, class or session name;
- Payment date and amount;
- Payment reference or bank-transfer reference;
- Reason for the request; and
- Receipt, screenshot or other supporting information.
We may request additional information reasonably required to verify identity, authority, payment and account activity.
Do not send a full card number, card security code, password or one-time verification code.
10. Review and Decision
We will normally review a complete refund request within five business days. Submission of a request does not guarantee approval.
We may review transaction records, login and access activity, downloads, recording views, class attendance and relevant communications.
The applicant will be informed whether the request is approved, declined, transferred, credited, or requires more information.
For this policy, a business day means Monday to Friday, excluding public and bank holidays in Sri Lanka.
11. Method and Timing of Approved Refunds
An approved refund will normally be sent to the original payment method where technically possible.
A refund requested after payout may take approximately five to ten days and in some cases may take longer because of the payment provider, card network or issuing bank.
Where bank transfer is required, the payment holder must provide accurate account information.
The bank-account holder may be required to match the original payment holder, student, parent or guardian.
MILORA is not responsible for a delay or failed transfer caused by incorrect information supplied by the recipient.
12. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
Students and payment holders are encouraged to contact MILORA before filing a chargeback so that a legitimate issue can be investigated promptly.
Where payment is disputed, MILORA may provide the payment provider or bank with relevant transactions, enrolment, login, access, attendance and communication records.
A knowingly false or fraudulent payment dispute may lead to suspension of course access and other lawful actions.
13. Mandatory Rights
Nothing in this policy removes a right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under Sri Lankan law.
14. Changes to this Policy
We reserve the exclusive right to amend, modify, or update this Policy at any time without prior notice.
