1. About these Terms

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern access to and use of www.miloraedu.com, the Milora Edu Learning Management System (“LMS”), and the online educational services provided by MILORA

Milora Edu is an online education platform operated by MILORA, business registration number 260806003 (“Milora Edu”, “we”, “us” or “our”).

By creating an account, enrolling in a course or class, making a payment, or using any part of the website, LMS or educational services, the student and, where applicable, the student’s parent, guardian or payment holder confirm that they have read, understood and agreed to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Refund, Cancellation and Returns Policy.

If you do not agree, you must not register, make a payment, or use the services.

These Terms are primarily customer-facing and apply to students, parents, guardians and payment holders. Tutor registration, platform access, teaching services, and other tutor responsibilities are governed by a separate Tutor Terms and Conditons.

2. Our Educational Services

Milora Edu provides online educational services that may include:

  • Live interactive classes through Zoom, Google Meet or another notified platform;
  • Recorded lessons and replay access;
  • Individual, small-group and group classes;
  • Course notes, tutorials, past papers, model papers and other learning materials;
  • Assessments, quizzes, assignments, academic feedback and student support;
  • Class schedules, payment records, notices and other LMS functions; and
  • Other educational services described on the relevant course or enrolment page.

The curriculum, level, tutor, class format, fee, schedule, access period and included resources for a particular service will be those displayed or communicated at the time of enrolment. If there is a conflict between these general Terms and clearly stated course-specific terms, the course-specific terms will apply to that course.

3. Tutors and Course Delivery

Milora Edu courses may be delivered by tutors approved and engaged by MILORA. Unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing, tutors provide teaching services as independent service providers and are not employees, partners or general agents of MILORA.

MILORA administers student enrolment, official payment processing, LMS access, refund requests, complaints and platform support. Students must make payments only through payment methods officially authorized by MILORA.

4. Students Under 18 Years of Age

A person under 18 years of age may use Milora Edu only with the knowledge, permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. The parent or guardian must review these Terms and the Privacy Policy on the student’s behalf and is responsible for the student’s registration, payments, conduct and use of the services.

The person who makes a payment for a minor confirms that they are the student’s parent, legal guardian, or a person authorised by the parent or guardian to make that payment.

5. Registration and Student Accounts

You must provide complete, accurate and current information during registration and keep it updated. This may include the student’s name, contact details, date of birth, address and parent or guardian details.

Each student account is personal to one student. You must:

  • Keep usernames, passwords, verification codes and class-access links confidential;
  • Not share an account, recording, class link or paid resource with another person;
  • Notify Milora Edu promptly if unauthorised access is suspected; and
  • Use the account only for lawful, personal and educational purposes.

Milora Edu may request reasonable information to verify a student, parent, guardian, payment holder or transaction. We may suspend access while a security, identity or payment concern is investigated.

6. Enrolment, Fees and Payment

Course and class fees are shown in the currency displayed at checkout, normally Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR). Fees may be charged per session, per month, per course, as a package, or as a subscription where expressly offered.

You are responsible for checking the student name, course, curriculum, level, tutor, session or access period, fee and payment method before confirming payment.

Online payments may be processed by PayHere or another payment service provider identified at checkout. Payment is subject to the payment provider’s own terms, privacy practices, security checks and transaction limits. We do not have or access your full payment details.

A payment is not treated as complete until it has been successfully confirmed by the payment provider and accepted in our system. We may reject, reverse or investigate a transaction affected by an obvious pricing error, duplicate payment, suspected fraud, unauthorised use, or a payment-provider error.

7. Activation of Digital Services

After a successful online payment, course or session access is normally activated immediately or within one business day, subject to payment confirmation, any required administrative verification, and the stated class schedule. Bank-transfer payments may require manual review before access is activated.

If paid access is not available within one business day, the student or payment holder should contact us and provide the payment reference and registered student details.

8. Live Classes, Schedules and Attendance

Students must join live classes at the notified date and time using the registered account or approved access link. Students are responsible for checking the dashboard, email, telephone and/or WhatsApp notices used for class communications.

Milora Edu may reasonably change a class time, tutor, delivery platform or teaching arrangement because of tutor availability, technical issues, academic requirements, public emergencies or other operational reasons. Where practicable, reasonable notice will be given and an alternative may be offered, such as a rescheduled class, replacement tutor, recording, extended access, account credit or another suitable educational arrangement.

A student who misses a class for a personal reason is not automatically entitled to a refund, replacement or additional class. Any assistance offered in such a case is discretionary and subject to tutor and course availability.

9. Recorded Classes and Online Participation

Some classes may be recorded for enrolled students, quality assurance, safety, tutor review or administrative purposes. A recording may capture a participant’s display name, voice, image, screen, chat messages or contributions.

Students must not independently record, screen-record, redistribute, publish or sell any class or participant content without prior permission from Milora Edu and, where relevant, the people appearing in it.

Parents and guardians should ensure that minors understand appropriate online-class behaviour and privacy. A student who does not wish to appear on camera should contact Milora Edu before the class so that any reasonable alternative participation arrangement can be considered.

10. Recorded Lessons and Learning Materials

Access to recordings, notes, downloadable resources and other paid content is limited to the access period stated on the relevant course page, dashboard or enrolment communication. Access may end when the paid session, month, course or package expires.

Permitted downloads are for the enrolled student’s personal, non-commercial study only. A download does not transfer ownership or grant a right to reproduce, share, upload, broadcast, sell or commercially exploit the material.

11. Student Conduct

Students, parents and guardians must communicate respectfully with tutors, staff and other students. They must not:

  • Harass, threaten, abuse or discriminate against another person;
  • Disrupt a class or interfere with another student’s learning;
  • Impersonate another person or provide false information;
  • Share login credentials or permit simultaneous use by unauthorised persons;
  • Share private Zoom, Google Meet or other class links;
  • Copy, distribute or sell Milora Edu or tutor content;
  • Upload malware, attempt unauthorised access, bypass security controls or interfere with the LMS;
  • Use course content or contact details for unsolicited advertising or another commercial purpose;
  • Commit plagiarism, cheating or other academic misconduct; or
  • Use the services in breach of Sri Lankan law or the rights of another person.

12. Suspension or Termination

Milora Edu may restrict, suspend or terminate an account or course access where there is non-payment, a security risk, suspected fraud, account sharing, content piracy, serious or repeated misconduct, unlawful activity, or a material breach of these Terms.

Where appropriate, we will give notice and an opportunity to correct the issue. Immediate action may be taken where needed to protect students, tutors, systems, content or legal rights. Refund eligibility following suspension or termination is governed by the Refund, Cancellation and Returns Policy.

A user may request closure of an account by contacting us. Closing an account does not cancel outstanding payment obligations or create a right to a refund.

13. Intellectual Property

The website, LMS, course structure, text, graphics, videos, recordings, notes, assessments and other materials are owned by or licensed to MILORA and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Subject to payment and compliance with these Terms, MILORA grants the enrolled student a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access the purchased educational content for personal, non-commercial study during the stated access period.

No content may be copied, modified, reproduced, distributed, publicly displayed, broadcast, uploaded, sold, sublicensed or used to train or operate another educational service without prior written permission.

14. Third-Party Platforms and Links

The services may use or link to third-party services such as PayHere, Zoom, Google Meet, email, WhatsApp, hosting, analytics or other technology providers. Their availability and processing are governed by their own terms and privacy notices.

Milora Edu is not responsible for a third-party service interruption that is outside our reasonable control, but we will make reasonable efforts to provide an alternative where the interruption materially prevents delivery of a paid service.

15. Devices, Internet and Technical Requirements

Students are responsible for having a compatible device, updated software, reliable internet connection, sufficient data, electricity supply, and working audio or video equipment where required. Milora Edu is not responsible for a student’s device failure, local internet problem, data limitation, electricity interruption or unsupported software.

Technical problems believed to be caused by the Milora Edu platform should be reported promptly. We will make reasonable efforts to restore access, correct the account, extend access, or provide another suitable method of delivery.

16. Educational Outcomes

Milora Edu aims to provide high-quality teaching and academic support. However, examination grades, admissions, scholarships, employment outcomes or other results depend on many factors, including attendance, effort, prior knowledge and assessment performance. No specific result is guaranteed.

References to Pearson Edexcel, Cambridge, AQA, OCR, Sri Lankan G.C.E. or another examination body identify the curriculum supported. They do not by themselves mean that Milora Edu is endorsed by, affiliated with or officially authorised by that organisation unless expressly stated in writing.

17. Refunds and Cancellations

All requests for refunds, cancellations, transfers or account credit are governed by the Refund, Cancellation and Returns Policy published on this website. That policy forms part of these Terms.

18. Service Availability and Events Outside Our Control

We take reasonable steps to keep the website and LMS available, but continuous or error-free access is not guaranteed. Maintenance, cyber incidents, telecommunications failures, natural disasters, public emergencies, government action, platform-provider failures or other events outside our reasonable control may interrupt a service.

We will make reasonable efforts to minimise disruption and provide an appropriate alternative where a paid educational service is materially affected.

19. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MILORA is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from the use of the services. Where MILORA is responsible for a direct loss relating to a particular paid service, our aggregate liability will not exceed the amount paid for that affected service.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, or any mandatory right or remedy available under Sri Lankan law.

20. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal data are explained in the MILORA Privacy Policy. By using the services, the student and, where applicable, the parent or guardian acknowledge that policy.

21. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to our services, technology, payment methods or legal obligations without prior notice. It is your responsibility to review these terms periodically for any changes.
